These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the evecookbook.com website (“Website”), “EVE Cookbook” mobile application (“Mobile Application”) and any of their related products and services (collectively, “Services”). This Agreement is legally binding between you (“User”, “you” or “your”) and this Website operator and Mobile Application developer (“Operator”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains what data EVE Cookbook (evecookbook.com, "we", "us") collects when you use the website and its API, why, and how long it is kept. EVE Cookbook is a free, non-commercial fan tool for EVE Online, run by Celengan Babi (an EVE Online character). We don't sell data, show ads, or build profiles of you.
When you load a page, run a calculation or call the API, our web server records a standard access log entry: your IP address, the date and time, the requested URL (which includes the calculation settings), the referring page and your browser's user agent. We use these logs only to keep the service running, find errors and stop abuse. Server error logs may also contain the requested URL.
The build settings you enter, including a pasted stock list, are sent to the server to calculate the result and are not saved there. Share links contain only those settings, never anything about you.
Logging in is optional. It's only needed for the Job manager and to show jobs you already have running in the components breakdown. It uses EVE Online's official single sign-on (EVE SSO), so we never see your EVE account password. With your permission, EVE SSO gives us access to these scopes:
For each character you link we store:
Data fetched from ESI is cached briefly to keep the site fast: industry jobs for 15 minutes, skills for 1 day and character names for about a month. While you're logged in, a session on our server holds your current access token.
Your stock list, components blacklist, skill levels and multibuy setting are kept in your browser's local storage and only leave your browser as part of a calculation request. You can clear them by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Fonts and all other scripts are served from our own server.
You can also revoke EVE Cookbook's access at any time on EVE Online's authorized applications page. The stored token then stops working.
You can ask us what data we hold about your characters, and ask us to correct or delete it. Most of this you can do yourself in Config → Characters. For anything else, contact us as described below. If you are in the European Union, you also have the right to object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
We process data on these grounds: to provide the features you use (calculations, the Job manager), our legitimate interest in running a secure and working service (server logs, Cloudflare) and your consent (Google Analytics), which you can withdraw at any time under Cookie settings.
The site is not directed at children under 16.
